About

Hello and welcome!

We are a small camera club that meets in Wickham Centre.  We meet the first and third Wednesday of every month from 7.45 pm.  We are a friendly bunch, with a huge range of skill levels and experiences.  We welcome a variety of speakers, who cover a range of topics, from travelogues, through to camera techniques.

Our monthly competitions are always a challenge for our judges. We have a lot of themed competitions and our summertime themed competitions are voted for by the members.  Although we have a leaning towards natural history and wildlife photography, our themed competitions last year included Sports, Reflections and Shadows, and Macro/close up.

During the summer, when there is more light, we have “out and about” sessions.  These can be as simple as a walk around the local area, to visiting garden centres, aquariums, or going to the beach.  These are the best way to improve and practice for the upcoming competitions, learning from each other and getting to know your camera and kit.
